  • /Year of the Ox

The Ox is the second animal in the Chinese 12 year calendar.

The Ox has so many positive traits, they are hard working and industrious as their counterpart in nature would suggest of them.  They will rarely give up, they are persistent by nature, and they expect high standards at work and in their home life.  They dislike people who are lazy or dishonest; the Ox is a straightforward, decent, hard working personality.

If you are in a crisis you want an Ox in your corner, they are level headed and practical and will stay with their loved ones to the bitter end.

A difficult side to the Ox is that they expect a lot from others; they have high standards and do not understand why others do not.  They can be judgemental and harsh on those that do not meet their exacting standards.  One thing always to remember about the Ox is that they are level headed most of the time, keeping their heads down but once angered they are a formidable force to be reckoned with, what else would you expect from the OX!!

It is not always easy to befriend them but once they have developed a loyalty to you they will never let you down. They are great to listen to people who need support and they are very practical in how they can help. Mostly they like their own company or the company of a few close people; they are not mad social animals.

They have a fantastic memory, they can remember so much down to particular detail, this may be due to their observant nature or their intelligence but either way if you need to know something about an event a year ago, go to a person born in the year of the OX, they will remember!!
