  • /Year of the Dog

The Dog is the eleventh animal in the Chinese 12 year calendar.

Dogs are so well known for their loyalty and so too are those born in the year of the dog, they are loyal and loving to those closest to them. Their loyalty runs deep so if you want a forever fantastic friend then this is where you look.

If life is kind to them they go through life with a loving, open heart sharing love with all around them however if life bites them a few times they can become cautious.

There is little hidden with those born in this year, they are open and fun to be around.  What you see is usually what you get; they are usually unassuming in nature.  They enjoy times of fun and relaxation and generally being in their company does others the world of good.  Their natural exuberance is hard to ignore.

Once you have formed an allegiance with them they are honourable and will stay with you to the very end.  They have a sense of justice that runs deep in them and will not stand back and allow anyone they care for be mistreated.

They make excellent managers; they are very adept at organising and directing relations.  They make very fair bosses with an ability to get the best out of all around them. They seem to have an inbuilt antenna for the talents in others and they know how to help people excel.

If they have a negative it is that they do not treat themselves very often, they are very sensible when it comes to money and often neglect to be good to themselves every now and again.

Health Risks

As their name would suggest they need to take a good deal of rest to remain healthy.  Dogs on average sleep 16 hours a day, not suggesting those born in the year of the dog need to sleep this long each day but their health definitely does benefit from rest.
